Cooking for Picasso by Camille Aubray (2 Stars)

Thanks to NetGalley for an advance copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Ah, the South of France.  My expectations for this book were high, based on the description I read as well as other reviews.  However, it just didn’t seem to go anywhere.  I couldn’t warm up to any of the characters besides Ondine.  Actually, none of the other characters were even remotely likable.  I read it just to see how her story ended, but this book just dragged on.  The dialog between characters was awkward and stilted, and the story would wander off into needless descriptions.
