G0d_of_Internet by Lynn Lipinski (3 Stars)

Thank you to the publisher and NetGalley for an advance copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

I’m sure that the title tells you what you need to know. To sum it up, a terrorist organization writes a computer program that releases a worm that uses the internet to hijack he power grid, water supply and banking. The premise of the book was interesting, as I’m sure we are vulnerable to cyberattack.  It’s probably not a matter of if, but a matter of when.  Not being a techie, some of this was over my head. The book was predictable, though; you figure out early on who the villain is, the romantic angle, etc. My hope was that the author would delve deeper into the chaos that would ensue when power, water and banking is no longer in our control. The ending leaves the book open for Part II, which hopefully won’t be so predictable.
