Curious Minds by Janet Evanovich and Phoef Sutton (3 Stars)

Thank you to the publisher and NetGalley for an advance copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

This is No. 1 in a new series, with Riley Moon as the main character.  Riley is a banker, who teams up with super wealthy Emerson Knight to fight the good fight and battle evil.  As in the Stephanie Plum books, the escapade gets outlandish, but it’s such fun along the way. This book is everything I expected from Evanovich, hilarious madcap adventure with colorful characters. Yes, the plot is outlandish, but that’s what Evanovich does with such skill.

If you’re looking for a bit of escapism with some humor thrown in, this will fit the bill. I read this simultaneously with Small Great Things when I needed a break. No, it’s not great literature, but “crap on a cracker,” sometimes we need a little silliness to keep us sane!
